Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Young kids gathered in the First Ward for some early Halloween fun.

St. Michael's Church on Clinton street hosted the annual event.

Kids enjoyed face painting, a raffle giveaway and doughnuts.

Friday marked the party's fifth year.

Those who ran the party got help from others in the community.

"We're very into philanthropy and helping the community, and community service. So we want to positively impact the community," said Noah Schacker a volunteer and student of Binghamton University.

Organizers said the event is a good way to provide fun for those who don't have a lot.

"There's a lot of kids out there that do not have a costume on. They don't have money and we want to give somebody something," said Harry Blakeslee, an organizer.

Kovarik True Hardware and First Ward Merchant's Association sponsored the event.
