Young vying for Broome County Family Court Judge

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A former Binghamton attorney hopes voters choose him to be the next Broome County Family Court Judge.

Mark Young announced his candidacy to be the next Family Court judge Tuesday evening in Binghamton.

"I have spent the better part of my career focusing on family law and I have 21 years of general litigation experience, so I think I'm highly qualified for the position," said Young.

The Republican had been an attorney for 20 years before having to suspend his practice two years ago because of a family emergency.

"We need strong, stable, supportive Family Court judges and I think I fit all of those attributes," said Young.
