Candor, NY (WBNG Binghmaton) A pretend zombie apocalypse takes over Candor.

Turkey Trot Acres played host to The Zombie Fest Saturday night.

The festival raised awareness and money for Candor's new farmer's market.

The market opened about three weeks ago. It's open Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm.

"It keeps money in the community," Joe Bish said. "It supports local sustainable agriculture, and it provides people with healthy food choices. So it's been a great experience to team up with Turkey Trot Acers and raise some money for the future of the Candor Farmer's Market."

The festival ran until 8 p.m.

People could head into the woods to help rid it of the "living dead" or enjoy a "Zom-B-Q."

Live music was provided by The Guilty.
