Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's an organization focused on finding and helping people in need.

It's called Zooneyfest and it's an event run through the Foundation for Community Betterment.

Community Betterment is a national non-profit organization with chapters throughout the country.

This year, Zooneyfest is helping two co-workers at the Handicapped Children's Association who are struggling with cancer.

The event will take place at Orlando's at Enjoie Golf Club. There will be raffles, chicken BBQ, bands and face painting throughout the evening.

"It's a labor of love, certainly it takes a lot of work. We made a promise and it's really a neat thing to be able to keep doing. It's really an easy thing to keep doing once you've done it, " said organizer Jared Bowling.

Zooneyfest has raised $175,000 since its start nine years ago.

The event will take place from 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
