Police: Man arrested for pulling handgun at U-Haul

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man was arrested for pointing a handgun at a woman trying to get his attention about a baby left in his car, according to police.

Michael Millard, 34, of Endicott was charged with two felonies.

Around 11 a.m. on Aug. 1, Vestal Police responded to the U-Haul rental store at 3736 Vestal Parkway to investigate a man with a gun.

Police said the woman was returning her rental truck and noticed a baby in Millard's car with the windows rolled up.

The woman started yelling to get Millard's attention, when he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her, according to police.

Police found an illegal handgun under the seat of his car.

Millard was charged with:
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, felony
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, felony
- Menacing in the second degree, misdemeanor
- Endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanor

Police said the investigation into the origin of the handgun is ongoing.
