Man arrested after officer injured in foot chase

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Vestal man was arrested after police said he led officers on a foot chase which left one officer injured.

Anthony R. Kinner, 33, was arrested on August 6, according to a news release from the Johnson City Police Department.

On that date, police officers responded to a report of two men possibly using drugs in a vehicle on Main Street.

A short foot chase resulted in a responding officer injured.

Kinner was then apprehended and taken into police custody.

Charges:
Assault in the second degree, felony
Resisting arrest, misdemeanor
Criminal possession of controlled substance in 7th degree, misdemeanor

Kinner was arraigned on the charges in Johnson City Village Court and sent to the Broome County Jail.

Daryll B. Michaletz Jr. was detained at the scene and later arrested.

He was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.

Michaletz Jr. was arraigned on August 13 in Johnson City Village Court and taken to the county jail pending further court action.
