Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Someone from the Twin Tiers may get the chance to stand next to David Letterman on the Late Show.

One of Letterman's most popular segments is called "Stupid Human and Pet Tricks."

On Thursday, WBNG auditioned contestants through a sponsorship with Matthews Subaru in Vestal.

Several dogs showed up at the dealership ready to show off their tricks.

One, named Molly, can perform a few.

"Molly is a 4-year-old rescue," Robert Jenkinson said. "We picked her up at the Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, Pennsylvania."

At first, Molly didn't even like to be picked up. Now, she's very friendly.

Several Letterman fans showed up to support the Greater Binghamton contestants.

"It would be really cool if someone local was able to get on," Vestal Middle School Student Josh Siphert said.

WBNG will send the videos to CBS. Then, Letterman producers will pick who gets to go on the show. It's all part of a nationwide contest.
