Louise J. VanVorce, 90, died Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Susquehanna Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Lowell G. VanVorce Sr., and grandson David Gardner. She is survived by her daughter Gail Jackson, Binghamton, sons and daughters-in-law Ellwyn and Marie VanVorce, Hawleyton, Lowell G. and Dian VanVorce Jr., Demorest, GA; grandchildren Linda (Chuck), Sue (Dan), Kevin, Brenda (Tom), Michelle (Dean), Tricia (Lee), Liz (Jason), Richard (Melissa) and Kathy (Dennis); 21 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Marion and Leon VanVorce, Hawleyton; Lorena VanVorce, Johnson City: cousin Marian Clink and also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and worked for the Motor Vehicle Department and the Broome County Family Court for several years.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2009 at 11:00am at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1282 Chenango Street, Hillcrest, with her pastor, Reverend Robert St. Clair officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Hawleyton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home Inc., 428 Main Street, Johnson City on Thursday from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, 1282 Chenango Street, Binghamton NY 13901
