Elizabeth S. “Betty” Bennett, 95 of Windsor died at 7:30 p.m. Thurs. May 14, 2009 at Good Shepherd-Fairview Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Bennett. She is survived by Douglas’ grandchildren, Michael & Paula Schmidt, Ridgefield, CT, David & Ann Schmidt, Burlington, VT, Kaye & Gerry Mullaney, Denver, CO, 6 great grandchildren, some cousins and her special friend, Hazel Brandt.

She was a member of Windsor Presbyterian Church, the Windsor Civic Club and Order of Eastern Star 190 in Windsor. She taught Home Economics and retired from Windsor Central Schools. She was a graduate of Cornell University.

Funeral Services will be held at the Windsor Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Rev. Carl Batzel will officiate. Burial will be in Windsor Village Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home 69-71 Maple Street Harpursville on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
