We're learning more about the victims of Friday's shooting massacre.

As families and friends share memories of their loved ones.

Action News Reporter Caitlin Nuclo sat down with a co-worker of Li Guo and has more on how friends will remember her.

"There was just such energy and enthusiasm in everything that she did," said BU Professor and Friend Tom Sinclair.

She's remembered by friends as a smart, vivacious woman.

47-year-old Li Guo came to the US from China last summer.

As a visiting scholar to Binghamton University.

"She bounced into rooms. She was always smiling and she was smart as can be," said Sinclair.

"Always had big smiles on her face. That was the most striking memory I can remember of her," said Weiyi Meng.

Li was one of the 13 people shot and killed at the American Civic Association Friday morning.

Before the shooter turned the gun on himself.

"I'm really sad that it happened at the American Civic Association because that was a place where so many people came together for an ideal, to do something to make our country better and to make themselves better," said Sinclair.

Li wanted to improve her English.

Which lead her to the ACA.

"She started right as soon as she arrived and that was really one of the things that she liked to do most. She was there every morning. Monday through Friday," said Sinclair.

And she quickly became part of Sinclair's extended family.

"Last fall when we went picking apples, we brought Li Guo with us. She was just a real easy person to welcome into your family," said Sinclair. "I'm really going to miss her."

Li Guo was one of 5 victims that have direct ties to the University.

BU is hosting a candlelight memorial for the shooting victims this Thursday.

It's at 7 o'clock at the Dickinson Amphitheater on the Vestal Campus.
