98 Shots Fired Inside ACA

By WBNG News

98 shots were fired inside the American Civic Association Friday Morning.

Ballistic Reports show 41 year old Jiverly Wong fired 11 bullets from a 45 caliber.

And 87 shots from a 9 millimeter pistol.

Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski believes it all unfolded in about a minute.

In that time, 13 people were killed and 4 more wounded before Wong turned the gun on himself.

Zikuski says the majority of the victims were shot more than once.

"We believe he had weapons in both hands based on we found magazines that were fully loaded on the floor meaning he must have dropped it when he was trying to reload," said Zikuski.

Police also recovered a satchel around Wong's neck containing more fully loaded magazines.

Zikuski says Wong's two handguns were legally owned.

They know at least one was purchased at Gander Mountain within the last few weeks.
