According to a report from the New York Daily News, a 32-year-old New York mother was shot and killed outside a Brooklyn hospital on Tuesday morning while her daughter was inside being treated for an asthma attack.

The woman was shot while she was outside having a cigarette, according to the New York Daily News report.
