Golfer allegedly beats 63-year-old motorist following confrontation over errant shot

A wayward golf shot has led to criminal charges being filed against a Florida man, according to a report from the Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal.

According to the report from the News-Journal, a 43-year-old man was arrested this week and charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm/disability in connection with an incident in which he allegedly beat a 63-year-old motorist who stopped to talk to him after a golf ball struck his vehicle last weekend.

Police said the victim suffered numerous fractures around the eye and nose, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal report.
