Youth coach sentenced to jail for throwing baseballs at player

A jail sentence was handed down this week  to a youth baseball coach in Texas who was convicted of throwing baseballs at one of his players.

According to a report from Texas television station WFAA, the coach was sentenced Tuesday to 15 days in jail after being convicted of assault by a jury. The coach had been accused last year of throwing at least 12 baseballs at a teenage player who was having a hard time staying in the batter's box, according to the WFAA report.
