374 Marijuana Plants Seized

Town of Wheeler, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Steuben County Sheriff's Office seizes 374 marijuana plants Tuesday afternoon.

The plants were growing among cornfields off of County Route 8 and Murlatt Road in the Town of Wheeler.

It took 7 members of the Sheriff's Office Road Patrol, Sheriff's Deputies and other investigators to conduct a grid search of the planted cornfields, spanning hundreds of acres.

Police say there were 8 to 18 plants growing in each plot. On average, they were about 5' tall.
