Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Graduation for local high schools and colleges won't happen for a few more months.
But for an exclusive group of business professionals, their graduation came Thursday night.
The Greater Binghamton Education Outreach Program held its annual commencement ceremony and dinner at the Binghamton Country Club.
20 local business people graduated as members of the Broome Leadership Institute Class of 2010.
The 6 month program aims to develop business leaders committed to making positive contributions to the community.
"We want to educate them about the different aspects of our community. What makes up our community: arts, education, health care, business, industry, government, Broome County history - to put them in touch with leaders in these areas" said Amy Shaw, Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce.
This is the 23rd annual event.
The selection process for next year's class will begin in May or June.
