Vestal , NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University students wrap up their school year with a project that aims to prepare them for the real world.
Seniors from the Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science have been working all year on their capstone presentations.
This group explained their Hybridization Scheme for a Fuel Cell Vehicle.
It cuts down the car costs while making them more fuel efficient.
Judges look for professional quality in the presentations.
"I think this is a very valuable component of their education. It kind of gets them ready to face the reality of a job out there where these kind of things are expected," said Capstone judge Mike Mercincavage.
The presentations are scored on a point system.
The winner receives a cash prize, donated from a Binghamton University Alumni.
