American Ebola patients discharged from hospital

(WBNG Binghamton) Two American aid workers who were infected with the deadly Ebola virus in Africa have recovered and have been discharged from an Atlanta hospital, officials announced Thursday.

The two missionaries, Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol, have been getting treatment for Ebola in a special isolation unit.

An official at Emory University Hospital said their release poses no public health risk.

Brantly called it a "miraculous day."
