Hundreds mourn race car driver killed in tragic accident

Turin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Kevin Ward Jr.'s family and friends gathered at his funeral to praise the dirt-track racer they called a "small-town boy." The 20-year-old driver was after being hit by a car driven by NASCAR's Tony Stewart during a race Saturday.

More than 700 mourners joined at South Lewis Senior High School Thursday for a 90-minute service. A mix of tears and cheerful recollections of the young man filled the auditorium.
