Ithaca Crash Kills Two, Injures Two

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A one car crash in the City of Ithaca kills two, and leaves 2 others seriously injured.

It happened at the intersection of State Routes 13 and 96.

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office says 25 year old Corey Henderson of Ithaca was driving south on 13, when the car left the road and hit a utility pole in the median.

Henderson and 18 year old passenger Tkeya Harris of Newfield, were pronounced dead on the scene.

20 year old Gerald Smith and 27 year old Jameel Melton, both from Ithaca were also in the car.

They were transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Smith is still being treated for serious injuries.

Melton has since been released.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
