Price Chopper Announces Potato Salad Recall

March 29, 2011 Updated Mar 29, 2011 at 6:22 PM EDT

Schenectady, NY (WBNG Binghamton) - If you've purchased "Regular Homestyle Potato Salad" from a Price Chopper Supermarket within the last week, you can get a full refund. Price Chopper Supermarkets announces it's recalling the product because it may have listeria contamination.

The company says the "Regular Homestyle Potato Salad" was sold between March 19 and March 28. While no related illnesses have been reported, the company says customers can bring the product back to the store where they bought it for a full refund.

Price Chopper is using its Smart Reply notification service to get the word out about the recall. That service will alert households that may have bought the potato salad through use of data and consumer phone numbers through the company's AdvantEdge card.

If you have any questions, the company encourages you to call a Price Chopper Customer Service Agent at 1-800-666-7667 Extension 3.

They'll be available to speak between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
