Sheriffs deputy accused of buying drugs while on duty

According to a news release from the Monroe County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, police said a sheriff's deputy in Florida was arrested over the weekend for allegedly buying drugs while on duty.

The deputy allegedly bought 10 oxycodone pills from an undercover operative, according to the news release. The deputy has been charged with conspiracy to purchase narcotics and other drug charges.
