Tompkins County Holds Public Budget Meeting

September 2, 2010 Updated Sep 2, 2010 at 4:13 AM EST

Tompkins County is taking its budget dilemma to the taxpayers.

County legislators say they're stuck again this year having to choose between cutting programs or raising taxes.

They're holding a public meeting Thursday night in Dryden to explain the county's fiscal situation and ask taxpayers what they'd prefer.

The meeting's at the Dryden Community Café on West Main Street in the village. It starts at 7:00pm.
