Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Dozens took their seats at the Tri Cities Opera center not to watch a performance, but to meet the performers. Tri Cities Opera held an open house Thursday night. It was a way to introduce the new Music and Associate Artistic Director, Scott Bergeson, while celebrating their 65th anniversary. Plus, it gave community members a chance to meet the singers. For the members of the company, the start of the season is exciting, but it means the hard work is about to begin. "The best and worst thing is the same thing: It's the amount of work you have to put into it, but oftentimes it's very enjoyable," said General Director Reed Smith. The curtain goes up on the group's 65th season Oct. 25. For more information on the TCO, click here.
