Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Could a duck win you a million dollars?

You could have the lucky duck at the Broome County Humane Society's 3rd annual Duck Derby.

There will be entertainment, food and games, however the most popular activity at the Duck Derby is the races.

Rubber ducks will race down the Chenango River, with the first three to place winning cash prizes, including the chance at $1,000,000.

The humane society hopes to sell over 10 thousand yellow rubber ducks, and they still have ducks you can "adopt."

"It's one of our biggest fundraisers of the year," said Laurie Hubik of the Broome County Humane Society. "It helps us pay for supplies and medical needs of the animals because the shelter runs completely on donations."

The Duck Derby is Saturday and goes from noon until 4, with the race starting at 3.
It is located behind the Holiday Inn Arena in Binghamton.
