(WBNG Binghamton) Around the Tiers was outdoors for the great weather on Thursday. Margaret Tatich came by to talk about the Fiesta in the Garden
The Garden of Hope is the first of three events the Children's Home holds throughout the year to raise funds and awareness of the agency and its mission of providing a safe place for children.
The Children's Home is a not-for-profit organization serving Broome County for over 100 years, offering four areas to help children and their families: residential, educational, preventive and therapeutic care.
Our employees and foster families are dedicated and trained in providing quality services to vulnerable children with mental health issues and emotional problems.
The Garden of Hope "Fiesta in the Garden" will be held on Saturday, May 4 from 5 to 7:30 pm at Traditions at the Glen in the Glen View tent.
It will be an evening of good friends, light fare and fun entertainment provided by Rick Pedro.
Tickets are only $75 and there are still tickets available.
We will also have several opportunities for guests to help support and cultivate our garden and help it thrive - giving the kids in our care a chance to grow and have a life worth living.
Additional donations will help us provide YMCA memberships, summer trips to various places such as the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Adirondack Mountains to name a few, and equipment for sports teams which help promote healthy living and teamwork.
Proceeds from The Garden of Hope will benefit projects for the health and safety of the residents, children and families the Children's Home serves.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 772-6904 ext. 289 or by visiting our website at www.chowc.org and clicking on events.
