(WBNG Binghamton) Holiday music is filling the air and the Teen Opera of the Southern Tier will be filling Roberson with sweet sounds this weekend.

Teen Opera of the Southern Tier will perform two shows in conjunction with Roberson Museum and Science Center's HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Performances will be held on Saturday Dec. 14 at 1:00 pm

The singers range in age from thirteen to nineteen and will present selections from opera, Broadway, classical literature and Christmas selections. Madeleine Iannone, assistant director, will serve as accompanist.

Teen Opera was formed two years ago by director Tony Villecco in order to give teenage singers with an interest in classical vocal music, a chance to workshop, learn and perform.

The performances are in the Roberson Mansion Library, in front of the Grand Staircase. Audience members may wish to also visit the beautiful decorated rooms of the mansion as we enter the Christmas season. For additional information please contact Villecco at tvtenor@aol.com.
