Arrest in Rite Aid robberies

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man is arrested for robbing a Rite Aid pharmacy two times in as many days. And police say he may be responsible for other crimes.

Richard Proper Jr., 24, of Binghamton, is charged with two counts of robbery.

This in connection to two separate armed robberies at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Robinson Street.

The first incident happened Feb. 15 and the second happened Feb. 17.

Binghamton Police said that both times Proper entered the store, approached a store employee, displayed a knife and demanded money. In total, he got away with more than $600.

Authorities said Proper is also a suspect in other incidents in the city of Binghamton and investigators are continuing to follow up on those cases.
