BU alumnus killed during Navy training

(WBNG Binghamton) A 2010 Binghamton University graduate was killed during Navy training.

According to the university, Jonathan Kaloust, 23, died last Wednesday during a training exercise at Fort Knox in Kentucky.

Kaloust, who joined the Navy in March of 2011, was a Navy SEAL and Special Warfare Operator-Third Class.

He was based in Fort Story, Va.

During his time at BU, Kaloust earned a degree in political science and also wrestled.

He won 10 career matches as a walk-on at the university.

Kaloust is survived by his parents and sister.
