Bids for Kids auctions thousands

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The largest fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton took bids to help their kids.

The 21st annual Boys & Girls Club Bids for Kids was held Thursday at the Double Tree in Binghamton.

Over 250 people browsed through potential items at the auction.

There were silent auctions throughout the night and a live auction closing out the fundraiser.

Executive Director Marybeth Smith said all the money raised will go directly to the children and their programs.

"Our biggest program is the Power Hour Program, which is our educational program, which does homework with the kids, tutoring, studying," Smith said.

This is the largest fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton.

Smith said she hopes to raise $25,000 from Bids for Kids.
