Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Lunches were bagged and music played in downtown Binghamton Friday afternoon.

It's all part of the Brown Bag Concert series, which offers free concerts every Friday through August 22.

The event is an opportunity for community members to enjoy the weather, sights and sounds of the Southern Tier.

"The concert series just celebrates being in downtown Binghamton," said Assistant Director of Economic Development Joel Boyd. "We have a little green space here on the courtyard lawn. This is a great space to come bring your brown bag lunch and enjoy our series."

Local vendors were also at the event selling baked goods, fruits and vegetables.
