Town of Fenton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Children's Home received a $15,000 grant from AT&T Tuesday night.

At their 56th annual ice cream social, the Children's Home was presented with a jumbo check.

The check comes from AT&T's program, Aspire, which focuses on helping students graduate high school and be successful in their lives, either through attending college or joining the work force.

"We employ, you know in the greater Binghamton area, hundreds of employees here," said AT&T Regional Director Kevin Hanna. "So we send our kids to the schools, we live here and it benefits all of us as a society to ensure that these children are successful in their lives."

The Children's Home is a not-for-profit organization that helps more than 400 children and their families.

Help is offered in a number of areas, including residential, educational and therapeutic care.

"Our employees really take a lot of pride and really want us as a corporation to support the local community," said Hanna. "So being able to help an organization like the Children's Home allows us to do that."
