Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Champions Tour golfers swing their way into the spotlight but it's their caddies who call the shots.

Action News went out with professional golfer Chip Beck during Wednesday's official Pro-Am tournament at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

Beck has won four PGA tour events and joined the Champions Tour in 2006.

Beck's caddy, Chris Frame, is his right hand man on every Tour event. They have been a team for three years now.

A golfer's caddy analyzes shots, tells the golfer distance to the hole, cleans the clubs and provides words of encouragement.

"For me, I like having people around me that I enjoy being with and that you can read them. You can read their non-verbals and you can see the commitment they have to you and that helps the team," said Chip Beck, Champions Tour.

The "Caddy Creed" is common knowledge in golf: Show Up, Keep Up and Shut Up.
