Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) By dusk Sunday, the final ball had been sunk, the final player had walked off the course and fans reflected on what was another exciting three days in Endicott.

New golf fans said they went to learn more about the sport after witnessing the 7th annual Dick's Sporting Goods Open, while some said it's an event that brought the community and old friends back together.

"You see people that you haven't seen in a long time here, so it's really kind of a nice event to get back in touch," said Vestal resident Tank Anderson.

The three-day tournament left fans with many memories.

"Friday was the first round of play, everything is exciting and to culminate it with the Tim McGraw concert with the great crowd we had, it was really something special for this area," said tournament director John Karedes.

Karedes said planning for the 8th Dick's Sporting Goods Open will begin next week. He said next year will be bigger and better.
