The Fill the Bus Campaign kicked off Monday and runs through Sept. 21.

The programs works with the Food Bank's Back Pack Program, sending care packages home with kids to make sure they have a healthy meal when they leave school.

A yellow school bus will be at the front of the Johnson City store where people can purchase and donate items recommended by the Food Bank.

Last year, the Johnson City store was able to give 13,500 pounds of food to the Food Bank. Store managers and others are hoping to raise up to 20,000 pounds of food this year.
