Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Johnson City family has been feeding Broome County's less fortunate on Easter Sunday for more than a decade.

Mark Hoskins, of Johnson City, has prepared Easter dinner for hundreds at St. James Church in Johnson City, for more than ten years.

The annual Easter dinner is put on for the area's less fortunate, but they welcome everyone to come in and eat.

Marylyn Macklin and Lisa Strong, both of Endicott, have gone to the community dinner for more than five years.

"We like to do special things together on the holidays," Strong said.

Hoskins' children don't remember an Easter when they weren't helping out in the church basement.

"As long as there's people that need a place to go, we'll be here," Amy Donahue said.

Hoskins' wife, Mary, passed away from Cancer in November. This was the first year preparing the dinner without her.

"She was usually the one in charge, and I did my work, but she's trained us all well," Hoskins said.

Hoskins personally bought all of the food for the dinner and donated it to the church in his wife's name.
