Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) People put on their winter wear and braved the cold, venturing downtown for the last First Friday before Christmas.
People strolled through galleries on State, Court, and Washington Streets to name a few. Some said First Friday is a way to get together and celebrate the holiday season.
The crowd enjoyed each other's company, all while keeping it local and appreciating artists in Greater Binghamton.
"We have so many talented people in this community and we know that on First Friday we can come out and see them," said Sherrie Rinker, the organizer for Atomic Tom's.
Rinker said she had 12 vendors show off their stuff Friday night. Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts also celebrated it's tenth First Friday year. They attribute some of their success to the growing artistic community in Binghamton.
"They beautify it and they add a creative outlet for the community to come and enjoy," said John Brunelli, the gallery's manager.
First Friday went until 9, but don't worry if you couldn't make it. It'll kick off again Saturday morning at 10.
