Homes and businesses in Broome County who were flooded in June 2006 must evacuate as the Susquehanna River is forecasted to crest at 2006 levels in the 7:00 AM time frame. This is a mandatory evacuation order as it is a matter of life and safety. Utilities may be shut off to evacuated areas.

Mandatory Evacuation has been issued by the Town of Union for New York State Route 26 from Day Hollow Road north to the Town of Maine line.
A voluntary evacuation has also been issued for Glendale Drive from Western Heights Boulevard north to Carl Street.
County Executive Patrick Brennan has declared a state of emergency due to flooding.
In Binghamton, Bevier and Moeller Streets are reported to have flooding in some areas.
In Johnson City, Deyo Hill Road is flooded.
Flares are burning at the intersection of E Franklin Road & Skye Island Drive in Endicott, as Franklin is closed through Oak Hill Ave. Flooding is also reported on Oak Hill Ave & North Street.
In the Town of Union, Ann G. McGuinness and Jennie F. Snapp Schools were dismissed at 12:45 P.M. because of flooding risks.
