Town of Union (WBNG Binghamton) The Fourth of July is about food, fun and fireworks. Grocery stores and parks are filling up in preparation of the holiday.

Logan Bravo and his family traveled to the Binghamton area to visit family for the Fourth.

They say its all about family, food, and fireworks.

Highland Park in the Town of Union is famous for the annual fireworks display and are already setting up food and drink stands for everyone to enjoy.

Just across the street, Weis Markets says it's ready for the big crowds for the holiday.

"We are really striving to make sure we have everything for anybody's needs for the July fourth this weekend," says James Godfrey, a manager at Weis Market.

The store has even designed displays full of red, white, and blue baked goods in the front.

Store employees say it helps show the stores spirit for our country's birthday.

"We have really over staffed this building going into the holiday weekend," says Godfrey.

You can even sit in the parking lot and celebrate the fourth with a bang, watching the fireworks at Highland Park.

"Once you have the fireworks display, and have people coming together. It really makes summer, summer," said Ben Sperduti, Weis Employee.

Fireworks can be heard all across the area this Fourth of July weekend.

Highland Park will kick off their fireworks show at 9:30 P.M. Monday.
