Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) East side residents of Binghamton will now have outpatient therapy close to home.
Good Shepherd Fairview Home held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for their new services on Fairview Avenue in Binghamton.
The facility will focus on rehabilitation programs for residents who are 50 years old and older.
It offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services.
It's the only outpatient therapy clinic on the east side of Binghamton.
"When you have residents of the east side of Binghamton who have to travel to other areas of Broome County for therapy it can be a hardship for them," said Kathy Swezey, Executive Director of Good Shepherd.
The outpatient facility offers a special peer group for patients, and can host therapy sessions together in small groups.
