Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Discovery Center held their annual "Shake Your Bones" Halloween Spooktacular and Dance Party Saturday.

Kids dressed up in their costumes and explored different exhibits at the museum, including a witch's house, pumpkin patch and a mad scientist laboratory.

The party centered around a healthy Halloween. Kids learned about Halloween safety, team building and nutrition.

Exhibits gave out items like crayons and whistles to teach kids about healthy alternatives to the more traditional Halloween candy.

"This is a very safe and very fun place for us. It's not scary," Pokey Crocker of the Discovery Center said. "It's an adventure for them. It's a whole different way of doing Halloween."

The Discovery Center has always hosted a Halloween bash, but "Shake Your Bones" is in its fourth year. The event is popular with both kids and parents alike.
