Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Democratic Candidate for Congress Dan Lamb squared off against incumbent Richard Hanna in a debate.

Lamb advertised himself as a middle class guy with middle class values.

Hanna said he's been a businessman all his life and knows what makes good financial sense.

Hanna also sold himself as a non-partisan candidate, even though he's on the Republican ticket.

Hanna said he was the only Republican to vote to raise taxes on the wealthy.

"I'm running to help this community. I'm running because I have the right background. I don't know how I could be more qualified for this job. I've worked at the state level of government, worked at the local, worked at the federal. Plus I've worked in the private sector. I've helped run small businesses," said Dan Lamb.

Both candidates did agree that raising taxes for the top 1% is a good idea.
