Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Does an egg bounce? Which type of roses make the most fragrant rose water?

Those were just two of many questions fourth graders in the Johnson City School District tackled in their annual science fair.

More than 60 students participated this year.

For many, this is the first time working on science projects like these.

"With all the reading and math we have been doing they find little time to do so it is great to incorporate the science, it is a life skill," said Kristin Lombardini.

Anna Synder set out to find out which roses made the most fragrant rose water. It turns out the pink ones do.

"It was really fun to experiment and make different kinds of rose water to have people sample to see if they liked it so they can try it at home," Synder said.
