Lighting up the lanes for a great cause

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 150 bowlers competed to raise money for ACHIEVE.

Proceeds from the 19th annual "Pin Crushing Bowling Tournament" will help those with disabilities.

Businesses donated prizes and helped raffle off a brand new gas grill for one lucky bowler.

Organizers said that while raising money is important, they enjoy the comradery of the tournament.

"We have a lot of fun out here with people," said Tournament Co-Chair Robert Warner. "These are not professional bowlers, this is just every Tom, Dick and Harry that doesn't know how to really bowl comes down here."

Warner said they hope to make $10,000 this year.
