Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An Endicott business is asking to hear local stories about how breast cancer affects the community.

ICS Solutions Group says if local families reach out with stories on breast cancer then they will step up and make donations.

The idea started at the workplace when employees wore pink shirts to work on Fridays.

Over time, the owners had their own pink shirts made and distributed to everyone at work.

"We wanted to make a difference," said owner Travis Hayes, "We wanted to do things more, so we took the idea of Pink Shirt Friday and we're looking to raise breast cancer awareness. One just among our employees in general and two, to help raise awareness within our community."

ICS is asking people to post their stories on their Facebook page for the community to see.

Then in October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ICS will contact contributors with help and donations.

"Whether it's donations, cash, helping people get services," Hayes said, "We just want to help people, so therefore, we're asking them to share their stories."

ICS Solutions Group was founded in 1986. Now it employs nearly 50 people and provides information technology services to small- to medium-sized businesses.
