Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Extreme Paranormal star Jason Gowin made a special appearance at a wrestling event with an aim to get back in the ring.
East Coast Pro Wrestling returned to the Southern Tier Friday night for the first time in six months, drawing a large crowd to the American Legion Post 82.
The event consisted of nine matches with several wrestlers aiming to defend their titles.
Gowin appeared on the A&E series Extreme Paranormal, along with the web show Planet Weird and is a producer of the the Ghost Hunters Inc. documentaries.
He is originally from Sayre, and said that he was introduced to fighting at a young age, when he used to attend matches at the Broome County Veterans Arena cheering on WWF favorties like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and Macho Man.
"When I was six years old I was given sunglasses from Brett Hart. I want to give that moment to other kids. I like all the smiling faces, I like the energy of a live crowd. It's a little different than television," said Gowin.
Gowin trained for a local promotion before leaving the area for his stint in Hollywood. He is the first championship defense of Binghamton's AnarchY, and he has hopes that Friday night's event would lead to an official match as he makes his return back into the ring.
