Town of Dickinson (WBNG Binghamton) Hundreds, mostly families with children, strolled around Otsiningo Park Sunday afternoon to support a good cause.

They were 'Marching for Babies' to support the March of Dimes organization.

The organization funds research and other programs nationwide to help both babies born healthy and babies who need help to survive.

March of Dimes coordinators said the Greater Binghamton Community has been a long-time support of their efforts.

"Our national walk started in the early 70s and Binghamton was one of the first one's across the nation, so it's one of the oldest walks," said Katie Button, Community Director for the March of Dimes Central New York Division.

Many of those who attended the walk had a personal connection; There was a memory mile portion of the walk for those who have lost a child.
