Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It has been more than 25 years, but one of the most iconic performers of all-time has made his way back to the Southern Tier.

The legendary Tony Bennett will be performing Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Anderson Center on Binghamton University's campus.

Bennett last performed at the Anderson Center in 1988 and organizers for the concert said they're thrilled to have him back on the stage once again.

“Everybody knows him. Everybody has grown up with him. Everybody knows 'I left my heart in San Francisco.' That’s probably his most famous tune. Or maybe he will leave his heart in Binghamton,” said Anderson Center Marketing Director Rosanne Norris.

Organizers said a lot of planning has gone into preparing for this concert in particular.

“There is a lot that goes into putting on a concert in general and when you have somebody of this caliber, there are travel arrangements, food, hotel. There are several people involved and it is months of planning,” Norris said.

The concert will feature indoor and outdoor seating. There is still lawn seating available. For more information, call the Anderson Center Box Office at (607) 777-ARTS.
