Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The 2013 Binghamton Wingfest had people marinating and grilling into the evening.

Organizers said nearly 20 bars and restaurants turned out to compete for the "King of Wings" title.

This year's winner is the Old Union Hotel.

Those who didn't spend the day behind the grill enjoyed music and chicken wing samples.

There was also a chicken wing eating contest.

"Last year we had about 1,500 people," said Kyle Mills from 104.5 The Drive. "This year I think we're estimating over 2,000. We're going strong. We're going to have another one next year and that will be even bigger and better."

Tickets to the event cost $15. Some of proceeds will benefit the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park and the Bundy Museum.
