(WBNG Binghamton) Friday is the start of the "Thanks for Giving" turkey drive.

It's an annual event put on by Catholic Charities of Broome County.

They partner with Clear Channel Radio who will be spending seven days in an RV in the Vestal Walmart Parking lot.

All of this starts Friday.

Catholic Charities will be collecting Turkeys and other Thanksgiving dinner items for those finding it tough to put food on the table.

Lori Accardi, the executive director of Catholic Charities, said, "We want to raise 3500 turkeys, last year we raised over 3300, we had about 400 more families sign up this year, so that is about 1600 to 2000 more people who are going to need help."

If you want to give, organizers say that two small turkeys are better than one large, that way more food can go to more families.
